I have been watching the state of Russia and Belarus lately. Might write something more substantial soon. However I think this is a very telling development in Russia. A country that has no free press and is looking like it might go back to totalitarism.

An outspoken aide to Russian President Vladimir Putin has offered his resignation in protest against changes in government policy.

Economic adviser Andrei Illarionov said Russia was no longer politically free but run by state corporations acting in their own interests.
