Any thoughts on why the film ends with a reprise of the phone call from Dad to home, with the dialogue changed to what Should have been said? Not consistent with the wrapups of any of the other threads. Also, didn't see the point of having the nudity!

I agree, an excellent movie and whilst I have yet to see Letters from Iwo Jima and The Queen, this rivals Little Miss Sunshine as my hope for best Picture.

Drawing on one of the themes of the movie, a friend of mine gave a very confusing initial account of it. He told me that he saw it with another friend, who fell asleep during it and that this aptly conveyed both their feelings on the movie. Having seen the movie, I called him on apparently not liking it, only to be informed that he had, infact, loved it.

Maybe he took the miscommunication theme of the movie to heart.
