So based on a comment of Nylers I have decided to introduce a star rating for any movies reviewed on the blog from here on in. Now I intend for these to just be a guide, concluding each review with its star rating and a brief concluding comment. It remains however that the content of my review will be a more reflective view of the film as a whole. Additionally, the initial plan and something discussed with Simon and Tuathal was an imaginative or unique rating system. It turns out that isn’t something I could happily settle on so we stick with trusted stars. The ratings and what they mean I don’t feel need much expansion on, running the ambit of perfection and near brilliance for 5 and 4 stars respectively, 3 stars encroaches on that no mans land of mediocrity, while 2 stars and 1 each disappoint and insult to varying degrees.
