This is an excerpt from an add for the Atomic Weapons Establishment

AWE promotes diversity in employment. We welcome applications from women and men, regardless of disability, sexual orientation, racial or ethnic origin, or age. Applications from women and ethnic minorities are particularly encouraged.

So  “AWE promotes diversity in employment” thats great. Even better “We welcome applications from women and men, regardless of disability, sexual orientation, racial or ethnic origin, or age”. But ” applications from women and ethnic minorities are particularly encouraged”. So they do discriminate,  women and ethnic minorities are encouraged more then other minorities such as disabilities and sexual orientation. Why are women and ethnic minorities more encouraged then I am guessing white males but people with disabilities not. It really make no sense.
