The inevitable Oliver Stone biopic of Dubya’s time in office is set to commence filming later this month with the casting choices as much as Stone’s take on the President Bush’s legacy being topics of conversation. First up, Josh Brolin is to play the man himself. As well as leading man duties, Brolin has the difficult task of gauging the line between parodying and impersonating a man who has been endlessly pilloried. Elizabeth Banks, my future wife, has earned my love by being a versatile comedienne so it will be interesting to see how she turns out in the role of Laura Bush. Joining them will be James Cromwell as George H.W. Bush, Ellen Burstyn as Barbara Bush, Thandie Newton as Condie Rice and Ioan Gruffudd as Tony Blair.
