Who are the people who come up with these ideas? Why not International Turn Off Rubbish TV Week allowing the following to happen:

  • Axe ‘Desperate Housewives’ so that we need not cringe at how the mighty Nathan Fillion has fallen,
  • Replace the Hallmark channel with a ‘Scrubs’ channel,
  • Endorse Tuathal’s proposals for remedying the soap reality TV show format,
  • Everybody does not Loves Raymond, take it off our screens,
  • Destroy all prints of the ‘Sex and the City’ movie, use insurance payout of the lost prints to make an ‘Arrested Development’ movie.
  • Orchestrate some form of mass epiphany so that people realise ‘Grey’s Anatomy’ is whiny, lazy ass TV with uninteresting characters and oh so cliched narration. Romance on TV at the moment - think ‘Pushing Daisies’ or ‘Gavin and Stacey’.
  • Have the talent behind the ‘US Office ‘ look after the proposed Americanisation of ‘Gavin and Stacey’ and ‘Spaced’.
  • Have all the ‘Entertainment Correspondents’, ‘Celebrity Editors’, ‘Stylist/Hairdresser/Manicurist/Dog Walker to the Stars’ that act as talking heads in pointless shows put through therapy to realise they make no valuable contribution to the human race.
