So I have mentioned the new apartment I moved into in the last few weeks - let me tell you I will never be more grateful to see it than I will tonight. The bathrom comes equipped with a bath (that seems more obvious than it should, on writing it!) which I plan on soothing my aching body in for about 4 hours. I have spent 3 nights, wrapped in a sleeping bag on the floor of a tent in a field in Stradbally Estate, having wandered the various parts of the Electric Picnic festival and downed some volumes of alcohol. Now, the weekend itself deserves much praisful comment and I will write on it later in the week - this post is merely a wallowing moan as to how tired I am, mentally and physically. Less than 12 hours ago I was in woods, dancing in my wellies and shorts, smoking Marloboro Lights in some very misguided attempt to add to the coolness of my image and generally loving the randomness of getting lost to music at random spots in an enclosed world of fire eaters, thundering dance troups, acoustic guitar sets, ageing rockers and general generationless enjoyment of fun. And yes I know there were lots of drugs and obscene amounts of drink, but Im sure that was equally the case at The Rose of Tralee so this afternoon despite my brittle state, I’m happily recalling the great escape to madness the weekend was.

I’ll be mentioning these guys again when I find a Youtube clip to do justice to their work, but I loved these guys - their name is SS Lucent Dossier, an LA based dance company and they put on an amazing show.
