Could Brad and Angelina do the double next year and take home acting awards at the end of the night to the poor soul left babysitting their 6 kids? Could the atmosphere around LA cope with the haze of smug that would engulf the city with such ridiculously good looking people literally becoming the toast of the town. And no doubt the clinic they have set up to research AIDs will annouce they have found a cure shortly after.  

One thing is for sure, Clint Eastwood does not produce films that go unignored by the Academy. ‘Changeling’, the story of a woman (Jolie) who suspects the boy returned to her after a kidnap ordeal is not really her son in 1920s America, is an intriguing premise and rife for comaprisons with modern media morals and features high drama, social upheaval and Angelina chest thumping. This is the type of movie to watch and turn to your company and quietly remark, ‘this will be the clip they use for the Oscars’.
