Screen legend Charlton Heston has died at the age of 84.
The actor passed away at his home in Beverly Hills last night with Lydia, his wife of 64 years, by his side.
Heston had been battling Alzheimer’s disease since 2002. After being diagnosed, he had said: “I must reconcile courage and surrender in equal measure.”

Listening to Willie O’Dea on RTE seems that they are blaming the resignation on the fact that the Mahon Tribunal is distracting the government from operating successfully and thus for the benefit of the country he resigned. Interesting way of putting it playing the Martyr card.
Certainly seems that this might not be over and that […]

He noted McCain’s support for extending Bush’s tax cuts, which Mr Obama said would help the wealthy, and his support for trade agreements that Mr Obama said do not […]

I’ve walked the halls of the Legislative Office Building in Albany, New York and though never meeting Governor Spitzer, there was never a shortage of suggestion, allegation and rumour about many of the elected representatives. Behaviour of such questionable standards lead to a ban on interns attending events where alcohol was served and a strict […]
